Research interests: urban hydrology, water quality management

Project: I worked with the DNR on a project to determine and test a replacement for the Double Ring Infiltrometer as the standard for measuring Saturated Hydraulic Conductivity (K(sat)) in roadside swales.

Why this matters: Urbanization increases pollution associated with runoff, both with water quality as well as water quantity. Managing our practices to mitigate these issues can be time consuming and difficult. I think that it is important to find ways to monitor these practices.
